We offer actuarial and technical services to insurers and reinsurers in South
Africa. The areas covered include the following:
- Development of insurance products or product features
- Review of policy wording
- Development of pricing and reserving models
- Profit testing
- Development of business plans
- Office modeling
- Expense analyses and experience reviews
- Structuring of reinsurance programmes
- Specification of system requirements
- Structured internal reporting systems
- Market research on a number of levels
We have a number of small actuarial consultancies and individual independent
actuaries available who are capable of handling areas that fall outside the
above list or any areas where we have limited capacity. This means that
the client is assured of obtaining an appropriate solution within the required
time-frame.
A typical solution for South African clients would be as follows:
- Client requires a minimum of 20 hours of work in order to complete the
project.
- At the start of the project our director would spend two days in the
client's office ensuring that the project is properly specified.
- Work would be completed off-site.
- We would not charge costs or time for travel provided that the minimum of
20 hours was met. Time spent in the client's office during briefing and
delivery would be charged.
